Mrs. Effie Lane, 85, of Hickman, KY died on July 10, 2012 at her daughter’s residence in Union City, TN. She was a retired machine operator for former Slant and Slant Company in Union City, TN and the oldest member of the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Clara (Adams) Nichols; husband, J. W. Lane; brother, Delbert Nichols and sister, Ruth Tilton. She is survived by her sons: Bobby Lane of Dayton, OH, Jimmy Lane, Ronnie Lane, Donnie Lane and Terry Lane, all of Hickman; daughters: Pam Caldwell, Vickie Lane and Kathey Wigdor , all of Union City, TN; brothers, Frank Nichols of Hickman and Roscoe Nichols of Dayton, OH and sister, JoAnn Lyell of Union City, TN; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Union City, TN with Rev. Billy Uzzle officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 12th and again on Friday, July 13th at the church from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
