Mrs. Juanita Van Cleave Amberg, 88, of Perry, GA. , formerly of Hickman, Ky passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Summerhill Nursing Home after an extended illness. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Hubbard Family Cemetery in Hickman, KY at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Bill Amberg officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman. Mrs. Amberg was the daughter of the late Charles and Nell Van Cleave. She grew up in Union City, TN. She met and married the love of her life, Charles Amberg, to whom she was married 58 years before his passing in 1999. Always a homemaker, she and her husband enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and traveling. They enjoyed visiting their children and grandchildren all over the southeast, as well as going on cruises. Mrs. Amberg was of Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Amberg and brothers, Ralph Van Cleave, Charles Van Cleave and Bobby Van Cleave. Left to cherish the memories of her are her children, Judy Vianey (Paul) of Perry, GA, Linda Beaman (Ray) of Sebring, FL, Charles B. “Mickey” Amberg (Barbara) of Perry GA and Barbara Parker (Bill) of Bessemer, AL, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
