Evelyn Mae Burleson Everett, 93, long time Fulton County, KY resident died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at The Arbors in Union City, TN. She was born on November 9, 1923 to the late James Douglas and Mittie Burleson of Arkansas. After attending Business College in Chillicothe, MO, she was sent to work in Hickman, KY. This was to become her new home where she met and married the late Charles Allen Everett, Sr. in 1946. He passed away in 2007. She worked for 28 years for the Fulton Co. ASCS office retiring as the Executive Director. Heaven gained this precious lady who will be remembered as a devoted Christian, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a hard worker. Family members left to treasure her memory include a son, Chuck (Rhonda) Everett of Hickman, KY and two daughters, Joyce Breeding of Charlestown, IN and Wanda (Ron) Gray of Union City, TN, six grandchildren, Mindi (Gene) Frazier, Dionne (Stacy) Keene, Wes (Ginger) Breeding, Chad (Stephanie) Everett, Ryan (Robyn) Gray, Lance (L.J.) Breeding, 12 great grandchildren and a sister, Juanita Lowry of Lexington, KY. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Bailey of Lonoke, AR, three brothers, Roy and Doyle Burleson of AR and John Burleson of Charleston, MO, one grandson, Daren Gray and a son-in-law, Revel Breeding. Strong Funeral Home in Hickman is handling the arrangements with visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 PM and again on Saturday from 12 noon until service time at the First Church of God in Union City, TN. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the First Church of God in Union City, TN. Ron Gray will officiate and pallbearers will be: Wes Breeding, Chad Everett, Ryan Gray, Stacey Keene, Doug Burleson and Derek Burleson. Honorary pallbearers will be Zac Scillion, Ethan Allen, Chade Everett, Courtland Gray, Ian Breeding and Coleman Gray. Burial will be in the Hickman City Cemetery. Special thanks are extended to the staff of The Arbors at The Etheridge House for their loving care.
