Mr. Charles Avery Wiley, 78, of Hickman went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 21, 2018. He was born in Fulton County KY to the late Charlie Wiley and the late Mable (Blanton) Wiley on May 14, 1939. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Aletha (Castleman) Wiley and brother, Lloyd Wiley. Mr. Wiley was an ordained Baptist minister and member of the West Baptist Church in Hickman where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant in Union City, TN He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and then served in the U. S. National Guard until his retirement. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Rhonda Wiley of Hickman, daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Todd Major of Hickman, sister, Peggy Thomas of Union City, TN, grandchildren, Grant and Cullen Wiley of Hickman and Austin, Davis and Brooklyn Major of Hickman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2019 at the West Baptist church in Hickman with Rev. Jason Sipes officiating . Military rites and burial will be held at the Hickman City Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be: Grant Wiley, Cullen Wiley, Austin Major, Davis Major, Michael Wiley, David Wiley and Greg Wiley. Honorary pallbearers are: Deacons of the West Baptist Church, Bro. Henry Callison and Richard Holloway. The family will receive visitors at the West Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 24th from 5:00 PM til 7:00 PM and from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday.
