Albertine, “Abbie” Booth McBride, age 92, passed away peacefully on February
29, 2020 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born in Haywood County, Tennessee on December 20, 1927, and was a
long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton. Known lovingly as Ma Abbie
to family and close friends, she was a gracious hostess and involved in many civic
and community projects for over 60 years. She was well known for her cooking,
needlework and quilting skills but most proud of her role as wife, mother, grandmother
and great grandmother.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Bob) Mahan of Fulton; two grandsons,
Bradley Nanney of Fulton, KY and Dr. John Nanney (Rachel) of St. Louis, Missouri;
four great grandchildren, Abigail Reese Nanney and Avery Michelle Nanney of Fulton,
KY; Charlotte Grace Nanney and Emma Claire Nanney of St Louis. She is also survived
by sisters, Faye McAbee and Bettye Waller, both of Jackson, TN and a brother,
Milton Booth (Becky) of Brownsville, TN, along with several nieces, nephews,
great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louis Marcel "L.M."
McBride, a son, Gary Mac McBride, and her parents, Albert and Mildred Brown Booth.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday in our funeral chapel with burial to
follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from
12Noon Wednesday until the hour of service.
