Mrs. Nora Alberta Green, age 91, of Fulton, KY died March 28, 2011 at 4:48 a.m. at the Haws Memorial Nursing Home.
Mrs. Green was a lifetime citizen of Fulton. She spent her life serving her family, church and community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher and Baptist Women's President. Mrs. Green was a member of the Fulton Woman's Club where she held many officer positions including President. She was an active member of the Fulton Country Club for
many years where she enjoyed golf and bridge, served as Ladies Day
Chairman and golf chairman. She was also a member of Daughters of
the American Revolution and Fulton Homemakers. While raising her family, she served as PTA President and Boy Scout Leader. She had many creative interest, including painting, quilting and crafts.
She is survived by two sons, Don Green (wife Judy) of South Fulton,
Marvin Green (wife Shirley) of Paducah and daughter in law, Pat
Green of Murray, six granddaughters Dawn Vlassopoulas, Henderson,NV, Michelle Davis, Lori Caldwell and Leslie Boaz, all of Murfreesboro,TN, Jessica Newman, Paducah, KY, Amanda Anderson, Winchester,KY
and thirteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Albert and Mary (Moss)Bard, she was
preceded in death by her husband, James Green, son Jimmy Green
and brother Warren Bard.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, March 30,2011 in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Palestine Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Tuesday.
