He was a member of the Smith Street Church of Christ in South Fulton, TN and had been a section foreman and track inspector for the Illinois Central Railroad. He was also a member of the Civitan Club and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II with the 24th Infantry
Division. He had lived in Graves Co, KY, Fulton, KY & South Fulton,TN.
He is survived by a daughter Rannah Wheeler, a son and daughter in law, Timothy and Gaytha Wheeler, 2 grandchildren Brandy Wheeler and Lauren
Wheeler all of South Fulton, TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carmen Wheeler on 2-21-10, his parents Flaudie Elizabeth (Long) and Henry Clyde Wheeler, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services for Mr. Alvin Wheeler will be held at 10AM Monday in our funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Sunday and anytime Monday until the funeral hour.
