Barbara Vaughn Smith

Ms. Barbara Vaughn Smith, age 88, of South Fulton, TN, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Fulton Nursing and Rehab in Fulton, KY. She was born September 5, 1936, in Bardwell, KY to the late Howard and Wille Heflin Wilson.

Barbara was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church. She worked many years for the Fulton Housing Authority as the Executive Director and spent most of her life in this area.

Barbara is survived by one son; Greg Vaughn of Paducah, KY, three grandchildren; Brittney (Chris) Carlisle of South Fulton, TN, Cija (Eric) Frazier of Paducah, KY and Dustin (Rebecca) Vaughn of Chicago, IL, four great-grandchildren; Hannah (Jose) Carlisle Rico of Milan, TN, Eli Carlisle of South Fulton, TN, Lydia Carlisle of South Fulton, TN and Adelyn Frazier of Paducah, KY.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Vaughn and second husband Gene Smith, one son; Gary Vaughn and two brothers, one daughter-in-law; Jill Vaughn.

Funeral Services for Ms. Barbara Vaughn Smith will be held at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 1:00PM with Dr. Dean Doster officiating. Burial to follow at the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 11:00AM until the hour of service.
