Bro. Ronald Cruse
July 14, 1937 — September 23, 2017
Bro. Carl Ronald Cruse, Sr., age 80, of Wingo, KY passed away on
Saturday, Sept. 23,2017 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
Born in Weakley County, TN to the late Carlisle and Mozelle Cruse.
He was a beautiful soul with a great love for the Lord. He was saved at the age of 10 years old and surrendered to a full time pastor in 1977. He along with the love of his life of 60 years, Shirley Ann Colburn Cruse,pastored several churches and led several souls to the Lord. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Fulgham, KY and had served as Pastor there for 43 years. He had received his B.A. Degree in Bible from Mid-Continent Bible College in 1984. He had lived most of his life in Graves and Hickman County (KY).
He is survived by three sons Carl Ronnie (Regena) Cruse, Jr. and Bro.
Doug (Priscilla) Cruse, all of Clinton, KY and Bro. Jeff (Missy) Cruse of Lexington, Alabama, a sister Donna Bivens of Pilot Oak, KY, and two
brothers David (Gail) Cruse and Bro. Gary (Penny)Cruse, all of Mayfield,KY, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley (May 29, 2017) and his
parents.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 26,2017 at the Pilot Oak Baptist Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel from 4-8 pm on Monday, Sept. 25. Bro. Cruse will lie in state at the Pilot Oak Baptist Church from 12 noon Tuesday until the hour of service.
