He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Fulton,KY where he also served as a Sunday School Teacher and a Board Member. He was a U.S. Postal Worker for the U.S. Postal Service having worked in Paducah and Fulton and he was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II. He lived in this area all of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha Beatrice (Daws) Crider to whom he married August 15, 1945, two daughters and sons in law, Linda and James Faulkner
and Marianne and Tony Taylor all of South Fulton, TN,a daughter in law Charlene Crider of Paducah,KY a brother, Wallace Crider of Martin, TN, six grandchildren, Lori Crider Fultz of Sydney OH, Kevin Crider of Paducah,KY, Scott Taylor of Jackson,TN, Eric Taylor of South Fulton,TN, Jennifer Robertson of Martin, TN, Wes Faulkner also of Martin, TN and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Clara (Malone) Crider, a son, Michael Crider, a great granddaughter, Kali Morgan Taylor, and a brother Charles Crider.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in our funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and anytime Friday until the funeral hour.
