Carla Beth Owens, age 51, of Fulton, KY and formerly of Murray, KY passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 after a long illness. She was born on July 31, 1962 to the late James (Jim) Owens and Marjorie Puckett Owens. She was of the Methodist faith and was an avid UK fan, she was a 1980
graduate of South Fulton High School and attended UTM where she received a Bachelors Degree. Her employment in Fulton, KY included Head Start, Evenstart, Fulton School System, Laurel Center and the Murray, KY Head Start. She most worked recently as an advocate for domestic violence
victims at the Merryman House in Murray, KY. She participated in many organizations in the Murray area in support of the Merryman House and its clients. She was a resident of this area most of her life.
She is survived by three sisters; Cathy Owens of Clarksville, TN,
Shannon Owens of Centerton, AR, Sharon Hendrix of South Fulton,
TN; nieces Shayla (Stephen) Cosby of Rogers, AR, Shelbi Hickerson
of Bella Vista, AR and Chrissie (Jed) Clark of Lynnville, KY. Her much beloved great nieces and nephews, Emma Grace Cosby and Rylan James Cosby of Rogers, AR, Vivi Cate and John Campbell Clark both of Lynnville, KY.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Saturday in our funeral
chapel with interment to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call the funeral home from 11 am Saturday until the hour of service.
