Catherine "Cathy" Walker

Ms. Catherine "Cathy" Walker of South Fulton, TN died April 24,2010 at the Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin, TN.

Cathy was a 1970 graduate of South Fulton High School and also
received her degree in Sociology from Kentucky State University in
Frankfort, KY in 1975. She had joined the Mount Olive Baptist
Church at an early age and worked on the usher board and sung in
the choir before leaving to go to college. She worked at the Kennedy Center in Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN for 6 years then returned home and worked for the University of Tennessee at Martin. She later moved to
Louisville where she worked at the Louisville Seminary as a data
processor.

She is survived by her mother Dorothy Walker of Union City, TN,
2 sisters: Vangie Tharp (Vernell) of Paducah, KY and Etta Walker of
Fulton,KY; 2 nephews Tim Tharp of Paducah, KY, Brad Walker (Stacy)
of Fulton,KY, a niece Camille Walker of Nashville, TN; 2 aunts Faye Garmon (George) of South Fulton,TN and Diane Bennett (Erskin) of Tulsa, OK; four great nephews: Tra' Tharp of Paducah, KY, Lil Brad Walker of Louisville, KY, Brandon and Breenen Walker of Fulton,KY
and 3 great nieces, Dee Walker and Braylyn Walker of Fulton,KY and Timaya Tharp of Paducah, KY. She also leaves some very close
cousins and very good friends.

She was preceded in death by her father James L. Walker and a sister Candy Walker.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday,May 1, 2010 at Brooks Chapel Ministries Church at 230 Brooks Chapel Rd., Fulton, KY.
Interment will be in the Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton. Visitation will also be at the church from 11 a.m. Saturday until the funeral hour.
