He attended the Good Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and two tours in Vietnam and had also worked for the U.S. Postal Service as Post Master Replacement at the Dukedom Post Office in Dukedom, TN.
He is survived by five daughters, Charlene Wooten of Nashville, TN,
Donna Sisk of Byhalia, MS, Wilma Fuller and Marie Koker both of
Dukedom, TN and Paula Mink of Lowell, IN, five sons, Charles Dalton, Jr. of Memphis, TN, Michael P. Dalton of Sheboygan, WI, Norman C. Dalton of Jackson, TN, Charles Blaylock of Dukedom, TN,John Douglas Blaylock of Martin, TN, twenty six grandchildren, and twenty one
great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice Blaylock Dalton in
2003, his parents N.C. Dalton and Rubye (Buck) Dalton, and a brother, Frank "Buddy" Dalton.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday at the Jackson Funeral Home in Dukedom TN. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Jackson Funeral Home from 5 to 8PM Friday.
