Mrs. Cissy Hatfield Roberts, age 82, of Fulton, KY died December 21, 2014 at her home after a short valiant battle with cancer.
She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Fulton, was
a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was an avid UK fan. She was one of the past owners of the Huddleston's Hardware & Gifts, was the founder and previous owner of Cissy's Gifts. She had lived in this area all of her life.
She is survived by four sons and daughters in law - Mike & Martha Hatfield of Cullman, AL, Walter & Denise Hatfield of Merritt Island, FL, Arch & Julie Hatfield of Hendersonville, TN and Shelby & Andrea Roberts of Titusville,FL; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew and also leaves behind several lifelong friends who she grew up with and remained the best of friends until her death.
She was preceded in death by two husbands Gene Edwin Hatfield (1-27-1977) and Shelby Glen Roberts (12-20-2005), her parents Marion (Huddleston) and Harry Hughes Murphy and a brother William Arch Murphy.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, Dec. 28 at the Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12 noon until time to leave for the cemetery for services.
