Cora Iola Roberson

April 24, 1922 — August 7, 2009

She was a longtime resident of the Crutchfield community in Kentucky. She was a former resident of Obion County. She had lived in the Crutchfield communtiy most of her life and was a charter member of the Crutchfield Baptist Church, but she attended Red Hill Baptist Church. She was a Kentucky Colonel.

She is survived by six daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Dennis Bruner of Martin, TN., Lois and Dwight Grissom of Smyrna, TN., Sue and William Lynn Stewart of Radcliff, KY., Shirley and Larry Burns of Shelbyville, TN., Janice and Donnie Lee of Kansas City, KS., Juanita and Peter Buchanan of Akron, OH., fourteen grandchildren, Kevin Bruner, Kelly Bruner, Valerie Faulk, Jeff Grissom, Garrett Bennett, Ola Smith, Helga Burns, Aaron Burns, Jamie Hamilton III (Trey),
Ashlee Hamilton, Kimberly Buchanan, Jessica Nichols, Chris Lee, Janet Robinson, and 11 great grandchildren, a sister, Alice Murray of Russell Springs, KY., and a brother Charlie Roberts of Hickman, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband W.F. Roberson, March 13, 2005, her parents Joe and Lurlene Roberts, a sister Gladys Anders and a brother, J.W. Roberts.

Funeral services for Cora Iola Roberson will be held at 2PM Sunday in our funeral chapel. Rev. Ronald Cruse and Rev. G.W. Moon will officiate, Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8PM Saturday and anytime Sunday until the funeral hour.
