David Ray Collier

December 22, 1938 — September 6, 2009

David Ray Collier died September 6, 2009 at the Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital in Jackson,TN.

He was of the Nazarene faith and was a member of the Roberts Lodge
#172 and was a Shriner. He was the former owner of the Parkway
Body in Hickman, KY. He served on the Hickman Police force and
was also co-owner of the Collier Body Shop in Fulton,KY. He had
lived in this area most of his life.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Mai (Yates) Collier of Fulton, KY,
whom he married Jan. 31, 1957; 3 sons and a daughter in law,
Steven and Bonnie Collier and Keith Collier all of Fulton, KY, and Chuck Hobbs of Hickman, KY; 2 daughters and sons in law
Susan and James Hinkley of Fulton, KY and Jennifer and Mike
Akers of South Fulton, TN. 6 grandchildren:Amanda (John) Luck of Toledo, OH, Michael Swift, Greg Swift and Mark Collier all of Fulton, KY and Samantha Collier and Lane Akers
both of South Fulton, TN; 3 great grandchildren,a brother Bobby Collier of Paris, TN & a sister Margie Tamsett Collier of Nashville,TN. Also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Fonda LeDora Austin,
his father and step mother Ezra Avery Collier and Ruby May
Wade Collier, a brother, a sister and a grandson Michael Scott Collier.

Funeral services will be held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel at 11 am Wednesday and interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Mayfield, KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Tuesday and anytime after 8 am on Wednesday until the funeral hour.
