Mrs. Dorothy Walker of South Fulton,TN died Thursday at the Union City Manor in Union City, TN.
She was a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and had
been a seamstress for the former Henry I. Siegel in Fulton and South Fulton, worked as a cook for the Headstart Program in Fulton and was a homemaker before her failing years. She moved to this area from Bolivar, TN.
She is survived by two daughters and a son in law : Vangie W. & Vernell Tharp of Paducah,KY and Etta J. Walker of Fulton, KY; 3 grandchildren: Tim Tharp of Paducah, KY, Brad Walker (Stacy)of Fulton,KY, and Camille Walker of Nashville, TN; 11 great grandchildren: Tra & Timaya Tharp, Britanna Gilbert, Lil Brad Walker, Branden and Breenen Walker, DeAndrea Walker,
Braelyn Walker, Stacia Courtney, Gavin & Chris Courtney; 2 sisters and their spouses Faye (George) Garmon of South Fulton,TN and Diane (Erskin) Bennett of Tulsa, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Walker, her parents Bishop & Jimmie Lee (Bradford) Horton, 2 daughters, Candy Walker & Catherine "Cathy" Walker and a sister Sondra J. Horton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, Novemeber 24,2010 at the Brooks Chapel Ministries, 230 Brooks Chapel Rd., Fulton, KY.
Visitation will also be at the church starting at 12 noon on Wednesday.
