Mr. Elvis J. Ferguson, age 96, of Clinton, KY died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Clinton Place in Clinton, KY.
He was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where
he served as a deacon and song leader, a United States Army veteran where he served in World War II. Mr. Ferguson retired from Central Soya in Clinton and after retirement he enjoyed fishing, camping, duck hunting and traveling the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Ermie Prince Ferguson of Fulton, KY, two
daughters; Loretta (James) Kelly of Union City, TN and Linda Mai Morris of Fulton, KY, three sons; Richard Dee (Teresa) Ferguson of Fulton, KY, David Neal (Ruthie) Ferguson of Clinton, KY, Paul Thomas (Shelley) Ferguson of Wingo, KY, three brothers; Gaylon Ferguson of Memphis, TN, Clifton Ferguson of St. Louis, MO, Allen Ferguson of GA, four sisters; Mildred Harrison, Doris Harrison and Helen Campbell all of Fulton, KY, Reba Stoker of Memphis, TN, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Sarah Jane Roper Ferguson, his second wife, Nellie O'Neal Estep Ferguson, a son John Edward Ferguson, his parents Tee Roy and Ida Mae Allen Ferguson and two brothers; Willard Ferguson and Homer Ferguson, two sisters; Evelyn Ferguson and Alla Mae Guill.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9AM Saturday until the hour of service.
