Ernest Wesley "Sonny" Hicks

He was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the chief engineer of the ACBL Commercial Barge Lines and had lived most of his life in this area.

He is survived by two sons, Albert Eugene (Judy Kay) Hicks of Fulton, KY., Michael Edward Hicks of Louisville, KY. a daughter, Barbara Sue Hicks of South Fulton, TN., a step daughter, Michele (Rickie) Tynes of Little Rock, AK., two grandhildren, Lance Scott of Murfreesboro, TN., and Crystal Payne of South Fulton, TN., and three great grandchildren, Austine Payne, Alyssa Payne, and Anna Payne all of South Fulton, TN.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Hicks in 2002, and his parents, Albert Wesley Hicks and Ernestine (Morgan) Henry.

Funeral services for Ernest Wesley "Sonny" Hicks will be held at 1PM Monday in our funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Water Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11AM Monday until the funeral hour.
