Mrs. Evangeline "Vana" Byrd of Fulton died November 3, 2009 at 10:33 p.m. at the Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton,KY.
She was a member of the Riceville Baptist Church and had been
a machine operator for the former Henry I. Siegel Clothing Company.
She had lived in this area all of her life.
She is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters in law David Lynn and
Rita Crittendon of South Fulton, TN and Michael Glynn and Sharon
Crittendon of Water Valley, KY; 2 grandchildren Eddie Crittendon
of Fulton, KY and Debbie Freeman of Pryorsburg, KY, 4 great
grandchildren and a brother Charlie Overby of Fulton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband Turney Byrd, her
parents Mattie (Dunlap) and J. W. Overby, 5 brothers Turnie
Overby, G. C. Overby, Demer Overby, Bo Overby and Q.T. Overby
and 3 sisters Mae Boaz, Granada Reed and Furn Moore.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 6,2009 at the Obion Co. Memorial Gardens in Union City, TN. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery for graveside services.
