Gerald N. Cooley

Mr. Gerald Cooley, age 85, of Water Valley,KY died 9:17 am on January 10, 2012 at the Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton.
He was a member of the Water Valley Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. He had worked in industrial maintenance for Ingersoll-Rand and had lived in this area all of his life.
He is survived by his wife Martha (Brown) Cooley of Water Valley, KY,whom he married December 14, 1954 ,two sons and three daughters in law - David G. & Susan Cooley of Water Valley, KY, Russell S. & Mary Lynn Cooley of Fulton, KY and Carol Cooley; five grandchildren
Lee Cooley of South Fulton, TN, Adam Cooley and Ben Cooley, both
of Clinton, KY, Jessica Cooley & Emily Cooley both of Fulton,KY;
two great grandchildren Tristan Cooley and Bryce Cooley both of South Fulton,TN and two sisters Bula Raines of Benton, KY and Betty Pyle of Mayfield,KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Carl Cooley and
Rhuey Inez (Robey) Cooley, a son Richard L. Cooley, four sisters
Carma Lee Walker, Virginia Murphy, Inez Jowers and Sue Cox and two brothers J.C. Cooley and Joe Cooley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 in our funeral chapel with interment in the Water Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Thursday and after 8 am on Friday until the funeral hour.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o 302 Carr Street, Fulton, KY 42041.
