Glenn Harris Beadles, age 93, died February 7, 2016 in Dallas, TX. Born June 6, 1922 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, he was the son of Charles C. Beadles and Carrie B. Beadles.
He was preceded in death in 2010 by Mary Mottley Beadles, his wife for 68 years. He is survived by a son, Glenn H. Beadles, Jr. (Annette A. Beadles) of Dallas, daughters Mary B. Lindstrom (Eric L. Lindstrom) of Olympia, WA and Ann B. Mitchell (John Stephen Mitchell) of McLean, VA, four grandchildren, Benjamin A. Beadles, Matthew S. Mitchell, Jason T. Mitchell and Ellen L. Mahoney; great grandchildren, Declan A. Beadles, Josef A. Beadles, Jane M. Mahoney, Frederick G. Mahoney, Ryan T. Mitchell, and James A. Mitchell.
He was a veteran of World War II, and served in the China-Burma India theater. He was a graduate of Louisiana State University and had a long career in agricultural real estate. He was a Free Mason, and member of the Scottish Rite.
A memorial service will be held February 27, 2016 at 10:30 am at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church in Dallas, TX where he was a member. Private interment will be in Palestine Cemetery, near Fulton, Kentucky.
