He attended South Fulton Baptist Church. He was a retired Chevrolet Dealer. He was the former owner-operator of Nielsen-Chevrolet in Harvey IL. He was
also a farmer and a carpenter. He returned to this area in 1969. He was a graduate of Thorton High School in Harvey IL in the class of 1942. He was U.S. Air Force veteran having served in WWII.
He is survived by his wife Norma Dale ( Kindred) Underwood to whom he married April 11, 1948 of South Fulton, TN., a son, Gregory Glenn Underwood of Memphis, TN., six nieces, four nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Homer Lincoln Underwood and Venie Boyd (Hall) Underwood Johnson, a sister Myrtle Mozelle Vaughn and a brother E.C. Underwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Sunday in our funeral chapel. Bro. Ron Cox will officiate. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 PM Saturday and anytime Sunday until the funeral hour.
