Henry Edward Yates, 77, of South Fulton, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 26, in Evansville, Ind. He was born Oct. 8, 1938.
Edward retired from Goodyear Tire Co. in Union City, TN, and was a longtime member of Pleasant View General Baptist Church in Water Valley, KY. Edward was a great man who cared deeply for his family.
He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Sandra (Goodwin) Yates of South Fulton; two sons, Tony (Carol) Yates of South Fulton and Jason (Kim) Yates of Little Rock, Ark.; two stepsons, Chad (Tami) French of Tulsa, Okla., and Jason (Deana) French of South Fulton; three grandchildren, Tabitha and Justin Yates, and Paige (Dortch) Waterfield (Jake); and three step-grandchildren, Alyssa, Troy and Kiera French.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Irene (Grause) Yates; and daughter, Theresa Dortch.
Funeral service will be 2 pm on Friday, October 30 in our funeral chapel with interment in the Pilot Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
Memorials may be made to the Pilot Oak Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4001 ST. RT. 94 W., Wingo, KY 42088.
