Ina Mae Snead, a resident of Fulton, KY went to meet her Lord on
July 10, 2016.
She was a member of the Parkway Church of Christ
in Fulton and was a member of the DAR.
Ina was born on November 9, 1925, to the late Milus and Ethel Wallace. She was raised on a farm during the depression, and often talked about how even during hard times her family was a source of joy. Ina met and married her husband of 53 years, Elwood J. Snead in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1998.
After marriage, she became a mother to five boys and then went to
school and became a nurse. She worked in that field until her retirement.
Ina had six brothers, Clarence, Paul, Riley, Raymond, Wayman and
Naman, and two sisters Avella and Irene. All of her brothers and her sister Irene preceded her in death. One child, Lawrence, died at birth.
She is survived by her children Steven Snead of Fulton,KY, Ronald Snead of Cordes Junction, AZ, David Snead of Payson, AZ and Trent Snead of Fancy Farm. They gave her seven grandchildren, Sandy Murray of Phoenix, AZ, Sherri Drain of Eagle, ID, Kerri Jo Jones of Masa, AZ, Tarrant Snead of Medina, TN, Sam Snead of Eugene, OR, Denise Gossum of Mayfield, KY,(granddaughter Shondra preceded in death),eight great grandchildren and her sister Mary Avella Bruce of Union City, TN.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 13 at 1 pm at the Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton with interment in the Cobbs Chapel Cemetery. Ministers Cecil May III and Mike McDaniel will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 11 am Wednesday until the funeral hour.
