James Earnest Elam

Mr. James Earnest Elam of Mayfield and formerly of Fulton died March 21, 2011 at the Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield KY.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was
appointed a Kentucky Colonel - Jan. 26, 1995 and was a former member of the American Legion.
He is survived by two sisters Frances Davis and Linda Steele, both of Mayfield, KY, two brothers Robert H. Elam of Fulton, KY and Ray Edward Elam of Wingo,KY, 3 nieces, a nephew, one great niece and two great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mary Elva
(Yates) Elam and a brother Thomas Howard Elam.
Graveside services will be held at 2PM Wednesday at the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for services.
