Mr. James P. Madding, age 81, of the Cayce community died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton,KY.
He was a longtime member of the Cayce Baptist Church where he was
a former Sunday School Teacher. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had been a machinist for the former Sigri Carbon in Hickman,KY for many years. He returned to this area in 1970 after residing in Chicago, IL and New Mexico.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Ann (Bershers) Madding of the Cayce community, a daughter Samantha Ann Dean of the Cayce community, step son Jessie Mack Bohannon, Jr. of Newbern, TN and a step daughter Rena Katherine Bohannon of Ledbetter, KY; five grandchildren Jeremy Lynn Dean, Joshua Bohannon, Jason Bohannon, Lindsey Brooke Bohannon and Loren Ashley Bohannon and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Radie Bell (French) and George Curtis Madding, four brothers Rev. Marvin Madding, Joseph Curtis Madding, Roy Madding, and Robert E. Madding, and three sisters Mary Agnes
Sampson, Sue E. Wiseman and Rosie B. Roberts.
A Memorial Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 25 at the Cayce Baptist Church. There will be no visitation held and friends are asked to meet at the church at the hour of service.
