James Alfred Powell

He was a member of the Knob Creek Church of Christ and was a
retired truck driver. He had lived in Mayfield, KY for the past 18 years.
He is survived by his wife - Dorothy Bugg Burgess Powell of
Mayfield, KY, whom he married Jan. 1, 1989. A son - Allan
Powell of Mayfield, KY and 2 daughters: Lynn Powell of Panama
City, FL and Jinny LeCornu of Martin, TN; 4 grandchildren and 1
great grandchild. A brother - Eugene Powell of Benton, KY and
2 sisters: Ivie Jean Norvell of Millington, TN and Jolene Alford of South Fulton, TN.
He was preceded in death by his first wife- Grace (McClure) Powell,his parents - Theather (Nelson) and James Mitchell Powell, a daughter- Christine Powell and a son - Roger Powell.
Funeral services for Mr. Powell will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Monday and anytime after 8 a.m. on Tuesday until the funeral hour. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association
