Mr. Jim Hartz, age 56, of Fulton died Wednesday morning, August 4 at the Parkway Regional Hospital E.R.
He was a member of the St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fulton,KY;served as the Fire Chief for the Fulton Fire Department and was the
Twin Cities Ambulance Service Director. He was a member of the
Knights of Columbus, Kentucky Fire Fighting Association, KAPA,
KCCRB, JPFA, KBEMS, Haz Mat I. He moved to this area in
1997 from Deposit, New York.
He is survived by his wife Deb (Raymond) Hartz of Fulton,KY, whom he married Dec. 8, 1973; a son and daughter in law Shawn and Breana Hartz of Crestview, FL; 2 daughters and sons in law, Summer & Thomas Reis of Deposit, New York, and Megan & John Miller of Martin, TN; his parents Joan C. (Wheeler) and David A. Hartz,Sr. of Deposit, NY, 10 grandchildren: Gage Hartz, Lana Hartz & Andy Sipos, all of Crestview, FL, Marisa Reis, Thomas Reis, Jr., Tyler Reis, all of Deposit, NY, Abby Miller and Avery Miller both of Martin,TN, Ryan Shilling and Ty Shilling both of Houghton, LA; a brother Randy Hartz of Deposit, NY and 2 sisters Julie Wist and Angie Smith both of Deposit, NY.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Friday and after 8 am on Saturday until the funeral hour.
