John J. Sullivan

Mr. John J. Sullivan, age 78, of Fulton, KY died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Parkway Regional Hospital.

He was a very active member of the St. Edward Catholic Church in Fulton,KY. He retired from Ferry Morse Seed Company in 1986 as vice president of the home and garden division. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. As a young man,he played professional baseball for the Yankees minor league baseball organization. He had served as President of the Fulton Chamber of Commerce, coached Little League Baseball, a member and president of the Lions Club, a
member and active golfer at the Fulton County Club, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine(Mahar) Sullivan of Fulton, KY,
whom he married Feb. 15, 1958; 3 sons and 3 daughters in law
John and Lisa Sullivan of Paducah, KY, Patrick and Rose Anne Sullivan of Franklin, TN and Michael and Teri Sullivan of Beaverton, Oregan, seven grandchildren: Kevin Sullivan and Brian Sullivan, both of Beaverton,
Oregon, Benjamin Sullivan, Rebekah Sullivan, Elisabeth Sullivan, Andrew Sullivan and Hannah Sullivan, all of Franklin, TN. Also two sisters, Mary
Wochaski of Chula Vista, CA and Patricia Kolar of Hemet, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Patrick and Hanna Sullivan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at the
St. Edward Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday.
