Mr. Wylburn B. "Johnny" Holland, age 94, of Paris and formerly of South Fulton died Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Paris Health Care in Paris, TN.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton, KY and was the
former owner & operator of the South Fulton Dry Cleaners. He was a
veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Force, where he
served in China and Burma and he was a member of the Roberts
Lodge #172.
He is survived by a daughter and son in law Linda and David Gillespie
of Paris, TN, two grandchilidren and their spouses John David Gillespie (Tiffan) of Nashville, TN and Jane Ellen Paraschos (Theo) of Charleston,SC and two great grandchildren Nikos and Rhodes Paraschos of Charleston, SC. Also, four sisters Fannie Zircher of Tampa, FL, Ila Usher of Mayfield, KY, Sue Lawrence and June Cherry, both of Fulton,KY and a brother Bob Holland(Mary Belle) of Wingo, KY, and a brother in law Kenneth Hutchens (Patti) of South Fulton,TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Jane Hutchens Holland,
his parents Ben and Greda Graves Holland, a sister Louise Ruddle and
two brothers Jack Holland and Bill Holland.
Graveside service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, July 3 at the Obion Co. Memorial Gardens with Sam Wylie, nephew, officiating. There will be no visitation held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
