Joseph John Venice, Sr

Mr. Joseph John Venice, Sr, age 83, of South Fulton, TN passed away Wednesday,
August 29, 2018 at his residence.


He was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church and had worked
for Murray State University in the maintenance department. He was a
U.S. Army veteran, serving as a paratrooper in the Korean War.


Mr. Venice is survived by his wife Martha Jane Venice of South Fulton, TN,
a son Joseph John Venice, Jr.(Brook) of Mayfield, KY; stepchildren
Kenny Mayo (Brandi) South Fulton, TN, Holly Bloodworth (David) of Murray, KY,
Richard Allen Sharp (Marilyn), and Vickie Workman (Steve), all of Indiana; two
grandchildren John Clifton Venice and Luka Neal Venice, both of Mayfield, KY; step
grandchildren: Brandon Mayo, Mallory Bell, Destinee Mayo, Colton Mayo,
Kailey Mayo, all of South Fulton,TN, Brittney Hayes of Union City, TN, Alex Rogers
of Nashville, TN, Chris Sharp, Tina Sharp, Jeff Sharp, Jeremy Workman,
Stephanie Ensley, Ronnie Sharp, Jr., Amanda Blackmon and Misty Crockett,
all of Indiana and Chad Sharp of Kentucky; step great grandchildren: McKenzie
Mayo, Caleb Stout and Gabriel Mayo, all of South Fulton,TN and Drake Hayes
of Union City, TN.


He was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Jane Venice, his parents
Fern and Samuel Venice and a step son Ronnie Sharp, two brothers
Benny and Samuel and four sisters June, Grace, Deloris and Josephine.


Funeral services will be held at 10AM Saturday in our funeral chapel with
entombment to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held
at the funeral home from 5-8PM Friday.
