Mr. Joseph Parfait Sr., age 81, of Fulton, KY died Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Kindred Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He attended St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fulton, he was a veteran of the United States Marines where he served in the Korean War. He was a Tug Boat Captain and had worked the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico. He came from Louisiana to Fulton, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shirley Fortner Parfait, four daughters; Holly Ballard of Bardwell, KY, Dawn Thompson of Sharon, TN, Cedonia Pirtle of Dresden, TN, Jolene Parfait of Sharon, TN, one son, Joseph Parfait Jr. of Newbern, TN, four sisters; Geraldine Harddecky of Slidell, LA, Evelyn Henries of St. Augustine, FL, Judy Avery of Georgia, Betty Stanley of Middlesboro, KY, four brothers; Ozma Parfait of Houma, LA, Wilson Parfait of Harvey, LA, Phillip Parfait of Marrero, LA, John Parfait of Tunica, MS, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Linest and Lydia Trosclaire
Parfait, one son Johnny Womack, three brothers and three sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am Saturday in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 am Saturday until the service hour.
