Kimberly Jo Hopkins, 58, of Wingo, KY, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 4, 2025. Though her time on earth feels far too short, we find peace in knowing she is now made whole in the presence of Jesus.

Kim was the beloved daughter of Johnny and Donna Copeland of Wingo, KY and the late Joe Killebrew of Martin, TN. She was one of five siblings, sharing a deep bond with her brothers Jimmy Copeland, Rex Copeland, and Eric Copeland, and her sister Kendra Maxwell.

Above all, Kim was a loving mother to her son, Kyle McCord (Amy) of Martin, TN. She adored her grandchildren, Preston McCord, River McCord, Kimberly (Austin) Elks of Clinton, KY, and Mason Whitten of Fulton, KY, and she took immense joy in her great-grandchildren, Paisley and Freya. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment with them. If you were to spend a moment with her, a smile and a story of them was sure to come.

Kim dedicated many years of her life as a seamstress at South Fulton’s H.I.S. before expanding her college education and pursuing her passion for helping others through her work with the state of Kentucky at the Department of Community Based Services. She loved her job, finding purpose in serving those in need and making a difference in their lives. She was very proud of her degree and the dedication she put therein.

A woman of faith, Kim was a strong believer in Christ and lived with kindness, compassion, and empathy for others. She faced life's many challenges with grace and strength. Her love will remain in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy will continue through her family.

We ask for prayers for our family during this time of loss, but we also celebrate the incredible life Kim lived and the eternal peace she has found in the arms of her Savior.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Little Obion Cemtery. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.

Hornbeak Funeral Chapel of Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
