Larry C. Jamison

September 19, 1954 — August 12, 2010

Mr. Larry C. Jamison passed from this life into the arms of Jesus
at 6:25 pm on Thursday, August 12, 2010. He died at Western Baptist Hospital.

Larry fought his battle with cancer courageously with strength
from God and the love and support of his family, church family and friends. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and many others.

Larry was born on September 19, 1954 in Union City, TN. He graduated from South Fulton High School in 1972. He received a BS degree from the University of
Tennessee at Martin and two Masters Degrees from Murray State University.

He was a retired teacher for the Fulton County School System where he also drove a school bus for 12 years. He was also a U.S. Postal contractor for 14 years and a
licensed auctioneer. He thoroughly enjoyed assisting Martha McGee with her auctions
for 12 years.

Larry was an antique collector, automobilia and car enthusiast and enjoyed attending car shows.

His greatest love was family and church. Larry was an Elder and Sunday School teacher of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class at Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His attendance and activity in the church continued as long as his health permitted. His faith never faltered.

Larry is survived by wife of 27 years, Connie Melton Jamison of Fulton, KY; his son Johnny Jamison of South Fulton, TN and his brother Steve Jamison of South Fulton, TN. He is also survived by his in laws, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Melton of Fulton, KY and a sister in law and brother in law, Andrea and Duane Sikes of Bandera, Texas, an aunt,
Betty Cagle of Hickman, KY and several cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents L.C. and Lou Ellen Anderson Jamison and his grandparents Lon and Annie Maude Jamison.

Larry was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Saturday 8/14/10 from 5-8 pm at the Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church on 1159 Parker Road in South Fulton, TN. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday at the church with Rev. David Bayer and Rev. James Lawson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Youth Fund or the Mission Fund, both of the Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 5343, South Fulton, TN 38257 or the Fulton-South Fulton Relay for Life, 302 Carr Street,Fulton, KY 42041.

The family would like to thank Dr. William Skinner and his staff for their excellent medical care. Also, the family really appreciated the care he received on the 4th Floor and the Transitional Care Unit at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.
