Laura DeFreece

Ms. Laura DeFreece born on April 9, 1924, to the 

late Terence and Myra Isbell Carman, passed away

at Obion County Nursing Home in Union City,

TN on Friday, January 24, 2025.

She was a member of the Good Springs Cumberland

Presbyterian Church, an excellent seamstress and loved

writing poems.

Ms. Laura DeFreece is survived by three grandsons,

Ricky Morrison, Dr. Louis Morrison and James DeFreece,

five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her

husband, Calvin F. DeFreece, one son, Terry DeFreece

and one brother James Harris Carman.

Graveside Services for Ms. Laura DeFreece will be held

at the Obion County Memorial Gardens, Sunday, January

26, 2025 at 1PM. There will be no visitation at the Funeral

Home.

Hornbeak Funeral Chapel will be in charge of arrangements.
