Laura Novecene "Hoody" Thorpe died Friday, June 6, 2014 in MI.
Laura was born in Fulton, KY., on March 17, 1928; the daughter of Taylor and Laura Elliott. Laura loved sewing and country music. She enjoyed family get-togethers and loved watching the local fireworks from her son's boat.
Beloved wife of the late John Floyd Thorpe. Loving mother of Vicky
(Casey) Vanreyendam and John Terry (Deb) Thorpe. Cherished grandmother of Bryan, Laura, Alex and the late Danielle (her survivng
husband, Ron). Sister of George (Jap) Elliott and the late Bill, Arvella, Bob, W.T., Woody, Drusilla, Elizabeth, and Gladys. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Vistation was held Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until time of the prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, at Masonic, Warren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, KY. Visitation will be after 12:00 noon until the service hour. Burial will follow in the Beulah Baptist Cemetery.
