Mrs. Lucille Burton formerly of this area died April, 16, 2010 at the Garland Nursing & Rehab in Garland, TX.
Lucille grew up in this area, attended Fulton City Schools and graduated in 1939. She had been a member of First Baptist Church of Fulton since 1933 and had served the church for many years as a Sunday School teacher. She had retired from South Central
Bell after 30 years where she had worked as a service representative.
She is survived by her daughter Judy Stevens of Plano, TX.,
and her son Jim Burton of Hopkinsville, KY; five grandchildren,Michael Stevens, Frisco, TX, Staci Hall of Plano, TX, Alison Epperson,Murray, KY, John Burton, Las Vegas, NV and James Burton,Louisville,KY and four great gandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack T. Burton, her parents,Foster and Olivia Edwards, and 2 brothers C.D. (Spud) Edwards and Jack Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 Wed. in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am Wednesday until the funeral hour.
