Margaret Khourie Homra passed away on 7-15-09 in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. She was born in Fulton, Kentucky on May 16, 1920 to Wadia and H.M. Khourie. In her early teens, she left Fulton for Petaluma, California with her parents and three sisters. She graduated from Petaluma High School. She then attended a business school and worked
with her uncle in the theater business. On a trip to Fulton, she met her future husband, Fred Homra, and they were married for sixty-two years. Margaret served her community throughout her life and was involved with the Fulton
Women's Club, Terry Norman PTA, First United Methodist Church, Fulton County Democratic Party, and the Fulton Country Club Ladies Association and her Thursday bridge group. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed her game of golf. Hospitality was important to her and Fred as
they opened their home to all their family and friends throughout their lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Ron, of Jackson, TN, and her sister, Helen Kassis.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Shdeed and husband, Bill, of Oklahoma City, her daughter, Cindy Crittenden and husband, John, of Oklahoma City, her daughter-in-law, Melba Homra of Jackson, TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christi and Cory Morrow, Julie and Scott Shdeed, Lindsey and Todd Siroky, Neil and Sunita Crittenden and Marshall Homra
as well as five great grandchildren, and her sisters, Jackie Tellier and Joanne Khourie and sister-in-law, Adeline Hamra, as well as many special nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at The Wellington Retirement Center in Oklahoma City and the many friends and family who
remembered Margaret with cards and calls over the past few years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, July 20,2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Fulton with Rev. Bill Tate officiating. A reception and luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the services in her memory.
