Martha Putnam, age 92, of Longmont, Colorado and formerly of the Fulton – South Fulton area died January 23, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Longmont, Colorado.
She was a homemaker and was a past member of the Newcomers
Club. She enjoyed quilting, needlework, traveling and playing bridge.
She was born in Durant, Mississippi on March 11, 1920.
She is survived by a son Philip Putnam (Nancy) of Longmont, CO,
four grandchildren, Robert Putnam of Manhattan, Kansas, Richard
Putnam (Liz) of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Melissa Billings (Matt)
of Parker, CO and Maria Strait (Jim) of Ft. Lupton, CO and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. R. V. Putnam, her parents Charles and Katherine Montgomery Melton, a son James Robert Putnam and two brothers Thomas Melton and Charles Melton, Jr.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Greenlea Cemetery with a memorial visitation to follow from
11 am – 12 noon Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Fulton.
