Mary Jo Barnett

Mrs. Mary Jo (Gibson) Barnett, 86 of Hickman went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2019. 

She was born in Fulton County, KY on April 20, 1933 to the late William Ernest Gibson and late Eva Mai (Bowen) Gibson. 

Mary Jo married G. C. Barnett on November 20, 1953.  He preceded her in death in 2003.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Joel Barnett, brothers, William Arthur, Noah Eugene”Gippy”, Oscar and Charles Nugent”Nookie”, sisters, Iline Gibson and Jewel Baker Adams .

She is survived by her son, John Eric Barnett of Hickman. 

Mrs. Mary Jo was a devoted member of the West Baptist church in Hickman for many many years.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Sipes and Rev. Henry Callison officiating.  Burial will be in the Hickman City Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be :  Jimmy Dale Adams, Dusty Adams, Drew Adams, Daniel Adams, Jimmy Elks and Chris McNeill.  Honorary pallbearers:  Tim Guess, Tim Langford, Brent Walker, Bubba Dale Edwards, Morris Dublin, Marty Cobb and Temmy Bennett.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 30^th at Strong Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. to service time at 2:00 P.M.
