Mrs. Charlyne Shepherd, age 89, of Fulton, KY died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Tennova Healthcare-Volunteer Martin in Martin, TN.
She was born in Dyersburg, TN in 1927, and she was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Fulton, and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
Mrs. Shepherd grew up in South Fulton, TN. She obtained her Bachelors Degree from Murray State University in Music and Fine Arts. She was an avid music lover and a teacher for over 30 years in the Greater School District of Dearborn, MI. She returned to this area in 1985.
She is survived by two nephews - Robert G. Nanney of Mechanicsburg, PA and James S. Nanney of Alexandria, VA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Shepherd, a son William Shepherd, a sister Iris Sanford Nanney, a nephew Thomas Nanney, and her parents Robert and Irma Sanford.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Zion Cemetery in Elbridge, TN. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the service hour.
