Minnie Jo White

Mrs. Minnie Jo White, 94, loving mother, grandmother and friend to many passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at her home in Hickman   She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had owned and operated a beauty shop for many years.   Mrs. White was born in Caruthersville, Mo on May 26, 1924 to the late Robert and Minnie Pearl Harper.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Hub) White, son, Mike White, brother, Bobby Harper and sister, Margaret Harper.   She is survived by her sons, Gary White and  Bart (Jennifer) White, both of Hickman, daughter-in-law, Wanda White of Collierville, TN, grandchildren, Mimi (Rob) Demotsis, Bo (Christina) White, all of Collierville, TN, Matt White of Memphis, TN, Dan White of Juneau, Alaska and Madelyn White of Hickman, great grandchildren, Walter Austin (Savannah) White and Madison White, all of Collierville, TN.   Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Strong Funeral Home.  Bro. Henry will officiate the service.   Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.   The family will receive visitors from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Strong Funeral Home and again from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.   Jay White, Joe White, Lynn Major, Phillip Amberg, Dan Rice and Bob Anderson will serve as pallbearers.
