Norman E. "Gene" Smith

Mr. Norman E. "Gene" Smith, age 84, of South Fulton,TN died January 10, 2011 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield,KY.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II and was of the Baptist faith. He had been an electrician for Bakery & Confectonary International and was a member of the Mason Lodge
# 2 in Detroit,MI. He had lived in this area most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilson Vaughn Smith, whom he married October 14, 1988, of South Fulton, TN, a daughter Linda
Yokubison of Detroit, MI and a son and daughter in law Robert B.
and Tammy Smith of Greenfield, IN and a step son Greg Vaughn
of Paducah, KY; Five grandchildren, three step grandchildren, Five great grandchildren, two brothers, W. T. Smith of Detroit, MI
and Bob Smith of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert B. and Ola
Floy (Houston) Smith and three sisters Frances Dunn, Sue Davis,
and Marie Dunn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am Thursday until the funeral hour.
Memorials may be made to the South Fulton Baptist Church Building Fund, 509 Forestdale Ave., South Fulton, TN 38257.
