Mrs. Peggy Ann Gilbert, age 79, of Fulton,KY died 2:33 am, August 8, 2014 at her home.
She was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church and was the co-
owner of the former Gilbert's Supermarket in Fulton. She had lived in this area most of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Lee Gilbert of Fulton, KY, whom
she married September 12, 1951; two daughters Jimette Davis of South
Fulton, TN and Julie Wiggins (Jimmy) of Fulton, KY and a son Jeff Gilbert (Geri) of Fulton, KY; six grandchildren Kristi Hendrix of Union City, TN, Eric Hendrix of South Fulton, TN, Justin Wiggins of Ft. Campbell, KY, Jade Wiggins of Fulton, KY, Jentri Nelson of Jackson, TN and Torri Gilbert of Fulton,KY and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eggbert A. and Pearl Bynum
Phipps, two brothers and a sister.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, August 9 at the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton City Animal Shelter, 101 Nelson Tripp Place, Fulton,KY 42041.
