He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hickman, KY. He was a retired agent for Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance where he worked for 38 years. He was a charter member of Quail Unlimited and was a U.S. Veteran having served in the Army. He lived most of his life in Hickman, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jo Gaddie Grissom to whom he married June 7, 1959, two sons and daughters in law, Greg and Denise Grissom and Lynn and Treva Grissom both of Hickman, KY, five
grandchildren, Grant Grissom, Linsey Grissom, Annagregory Grissom, Greyson Grissom, and Trace Owen Grissom all of Hickman, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Christine (Anderson) Grissom.
Funeral services for Phillip Grissom will be held at 11AM Saturday at the West Baptist Church in Hickman KY. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 8PM Friday at the West Hickman Baptist Church in Hickman KY and anytime after 9AM Saturday until the funeral hour.
