Ray Kemp

Mr. Ray French Kemp, age 86, of Hickman, KY passed
away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah,
KY.

He was born on April 22, 1935 in Fulton, KY to the late
John Kemp and Virginia French Kemp.

Ray attended Murray State and received a civil engineering Bachelor’s
degree and a structural engineering Master’s degree from the
University of Kentucky. He worked at Union Carbide in Paducah, KY
and then Dow Chemical in Louisiana for 30 years. He was a member
of the First United Methodist Church of Hickman, KY.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane Kearby Kemp, his children:
Sara Kemp of Denver, CO, Eric (Roxane) Kemp of Baton Rouge, LA
and Helen (Steve) Stiles of Mandeville, LA, five grandchildren: Claire
Stewart Milazzo of Brooklyn, NY, Emily Harrison of Baton Rouge, LA,
Bethany Kemp of Albuquerque, NM, Kearby Stiles of Denver, CO and
Jenna Stiles of Mandeville, LA, and a sister, Lois Birk of Union City, TN.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a half brother
James Kemp of Baton Rouge, LA.

There will be a private graveside service at Rush Creek Cemetery.
The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.
