Raymond Thomas Simon
May 21, 1921 — August 13, 2009
Mr. Simon died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Union City Manor Nursing Home.
He was of the Methodist faith and was a U. S. Marine veteran having
served in World War II. He had retired as the Captain of Security for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City, TN. He had lived in this
area all of his life.
He is survived by several nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille (Hutchens) Simon, his
parents Ethel (Berry) and Anderson Green (A.G. "Bud" ) Simon and a sister Elanor Melvin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Mathany Grove Cemetery in Weakley Co., TN.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Friday,8-14-09
and after 8 am on Saturday until the funeral hour.
