Richard T. Burke

Mr. Richard T. Burke, age 83, of South Fulton, TN died December 27, 2011 at 2:19 am at the Parkway Regional Hospital.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in World War II, a member
of the American Legion, and was a retired employee of the former
Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, TN. He moved to
this area in 1966 from Pocahontas, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife Deloris Hawkins Burke of South Fulton, TN,a son and daughter in law Dennis C. Burke (Susan) of Corona, CA, two grandchildren Emily Nicole Burke and Samantha Lea Burke, both of Corona, CA and a brother David Burke of Benton, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elva (Anderson) and Leslie
Burke, a son Richard "Stoney" Burke, a brother Donald Burke and a sister Patricia Baumgardner.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday, Dec. 29 in our funeral chapel and burial will be in the Leachville Cemetery in Leachville, AR at 2:30 pm. Friends may meet at the cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
Memorials may be made to the ST. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
