Richard Eugene Hosey

Mr. Richard Eugene Hosey, age 91, of Water Valley, KY died Wednesday,
December 27, 2017 at the Clinton-Hickman County I.C.F.
He was a retired correctional officer from Kern County Sheriff Department in Bakersfield, CA, a United States Navy veteran where he served in World War II and a member of the Meudell-Oildale Lodge # 695 in Bakersfield, CA.
Mr. Hosey is survived by a daughter, Wanda Sue Gentry of Bakersfield, CA, a step-daughter Frances Lackley of Bakersfield, CA, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, a step-brother David (Pat) Collins of Fulton, KY and a step-sister Judy Wooten of Benton, KY.
He is preceded in death by his wife Frances Smothers Hosey, two step-sons; William Richard Bowlin, Robert Michael Becker, a half-sister Dorothy Carol Miller and his parents William Fairroughrr and Thelma Pharis Hosey.
Graveside services will be held at 1PM Saturday at the Water Valley Cemetery. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton-Hickman County Ambulance Fund, 324 James H. Phillips Drive, Clinton, KY 42031.
